Sport Integrity Australia

As Australia’s national anti-doping organisation they are responsible for implementing an effective program consistent with international requirements and Australian legislation.   

ROLE AND FUNCTIONS   

Australia is a signatory to the UNESCO International Convention against Doping in Sport and is required to implement anti-doping arrangements in accordance with the principles of the World Anti-Doping Code (the Code). They collaborate with the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA), overseas anti-doping organisations and other stakeholders to further the Australian Government’s efforts to strengthen anti-doping practices globally. 

Their role and functions are set out in the Sport Integrity Australia Act 2020, the Sport Integrity Australia Regulations 2020 and the National Anti-Doping (NAD) scheme.

Boxing Australia

Boxing Australia encourages and promotes a competition free from Prohibited Substances and Methods and prevention from doping practices in amateur boxing. Boxing Australia together with the Australian Anti-Doping Agency have developed policies, practices and education systems to prevent doping.

Anti-doping rules apply to all participants of our sport from elite down to grassroots. All members must be aware of, and have a basic understanding of their obligations in regards to anti-doping. The Sport Integrity Australia website has a range of information and resources to assist, including:

Get Educated

Sport Integrity Australia e-Learning is a new free and easy to use online Education tool, click here for more information.

This online Education tool will make it easier for the Australian Boxing community to get educated on anti-doping.

It is a requirement that those who are entering any National events must complete the relevant anti-doping e-Learing courses via Sports Integrity Australia.
