I was born in Liverpool, England. My family (mum, dad and sister) and I moved to Australia in early 2017. I started boxing at age 7 out of a local gym in Liverpool called Kirkby ABC. I trained there for five years before moving to Australia where I found myself on the doorstep of All Star Boxing in Queensland. Now I have been training at All Star Boxing for almost five years. All Star Boxing gym has helped me develop so much as a person and are the reason behind me reaching my goals and success in the amateur ranks. There are still multiple goals I want to achieve in my boxing journey and with my coaches Paul Utia, Benny Harrington, Harb Taggart and Ray Stowers in my corner I have no doubt those goals are within my reach.

Describe Yourself in 3 words.

If I had to describe myself in three words I would say: fortunate, loyal and determined.

What does a typical training session look like for you?

A typical training session starts with a dynamic warm up (agility, coordination and balance), shadow boxing, technique work, partner work, high intensity bag work, and then always finishes with a workout cooldown.

What does it mean to be Team Captain?

In my eyes it is a privilege to be team captain and have my teammates putting their trust in me to lead them at the 2022 IBA Youth World Championships in Spain. It is also very important for me to keep everyone motivated, try my best to help our team bond and perform to the best of our abilities for ourselves and Australia.

Describe how you plan to lead as a Captain.

I plan to lead by example by cheering on for my teammates and supporting them in and out of the ring, as well as be respectful and enthusiastic about the tournament. I also plan to support the coaches whenever I can.

What is one thing you would love to see from your teammates?

Firstly I would love to see all of my teammates with gold medals around their necks at the end of the tournament and throughout I would like to see constant support and respect for one another and the international boxing community. I would also love to see them putting in performances of a lifetime.
