BAL Regional Development Camp Metropolitan North - West VIC

VIC Regional Development Coach Adam Nahal ran the second Victorian BAL Development Camp of 2016 on the weekend 13-14 February.

The camp outcome were very positive. Athletes targeted were between ages 11-17 with a range of bout experience.

Day 1 was at Footscray Youth Club and Day 2 at Pro - Fit Boxing for hosting. Elite Victorian boxer Aaron Wellman delivered an athlete presentation on the Saturday and Sam Brizzi presented a referee and judge presentation on Sunday.

The camp had attendance of 22 athletes and 13 coaches.

17 year old Furkan Demirkaya from Campbellfield and 16 year old Daniel Roberts from Laverton were identified as stand out talents during the camp. A majority 18 out of the 22 athletes had not attended a BAL Development Camp before, highlighting the reach into new areas and new boxers the Development Program is having.
