Joel created a very good impression everywhere he went, and it would be difficult to imagine anyone with more enthusiasm and drive, combined with a strong desire to develop as a coach, and the ability to assimilate information and new techniques. Personally I found Joel to have the analytical skills I have required of coaches on the elite programme over the past decade at my own boxing academy at Bradford College, including current Australian National Coach Kevin Smith (4 years), and the thoroughness of approach which would make him an asset to any national set-up.

Joel would make a strong candidate for any post requiring a strong, and well-organised self-starting individual, capable of setting up and operating very quickly in new environments.'

Boxing Australia would like to congratulate Joel on taking the initiative to further his own development as a coach, and also representing Australia with pride while overseas. We look forward to seeing his own development improve Australian boxing through his coaching.
