Expressions of Interest: 2026 Boxing Australia National Team Coaching (Until May 1, 2026)

Published Fri 27 Feb 2026

The Boxing Australia High Performance Program is calling for expressions of interest to coach the 2026 National Team at events during March and April, 2026. Priority will be given in the following order.

Priority 1 Coaches

Team Lead Coaches who are employed or contracted to the BAL HP Program. (Must be Gold Level accredited coach.)

Priority 2 Coaches

Team Coaches’ whose inclusion helps meet the diversity needs of the team and who are currently hold Gold or Silver level BAL Coach accreditation.

Priority 3 Coaches

Team Coaches who have attained Gold Level Coaching accreditation and who coach current categorised athletes at the Podium Level.

Priority 4 Coaches

Team Coaches who hold a BAL Coach Accreditation at Gold, Silver or Bronze level, who are actively engaged and looking to move upwards through the coach education framework and coach categorised athletes or 2026 BAL National Team athletes.

Athlete coaches

At times, BAL may choose to select an athlete coach to a team. The rationale to select an athlete coach is to specifically enhance the potential for an individual athlete to attain a podium level performance.  The two considerations that will lead to an athlete coach being selected are, i) The coach does not demonstrate the ability to coach across the entire team and athlete cohort, b) The BAL Selection Panel determines that to achieve a Podium Performance the athlete coach is better to focus on that one athlete as opposed to an entire team. An athlete coach is not guaranteed accreditation or a ring side seat.

Expressions of interest open at Midday, Friday February 27, 2026 and Close at 5pm AEDT on Sunday March 1, 2026.
