BAL Welcomes New Board Member

The Board of Boxing Australia is pleased to announce the appointment of co-opted director Dr Simon Lew.

Dr Lew has specialised in sport governance, strategy, finance, and risk management working over the past six years working closely with Australian Sports Commission (Sport Australia), the Australian Institute of Sport and the aggregated combat sports body (CombatAUS). He is the former Board Chairman of Australian Taekwondo and is currently a member of the Boxing & Martial Arts Board for the South Australian Minister of Recreation, Sport and Racing. He serves as a governance committee member and elected Councilor for the Australian Dental Association (ADA) Tasmania. He is also a black belt in taekwondo.

Simon will commence his role as an independent director for a one-year term.
