Update re Australian Elite Championships

Boxing Australia will run in conjunction with the Australian Elite Championships, the Pacific Games Qualification Event. Both these events will be conducted in Perth from Wed 9^th to Sat 12^th Aug.

The move to run the Qualification Event is to ensure that all participants thoroughly aware of the weight division for Paris 2024, as it crosses over two weight divisions (i.e. Men 51kg – over 46kg & to 51kg. Whereas in the Australian Elite Championships we would be running 46-48kg and 48-51kg). Therefore, those athletes aiming for Pacific Games and Paris 2024, must enter and comply with all eligibility criteria for the Pacific Games Qualification Event. Those who enter the Australian Elite Championships will not be considered for selection in the Australian Team to the 2023 Pacific Games or Paris 2024 Olympics.

Additionally, the conducting of these two events is being made in the interest of providing national competition opportunities to all participants.

Those wishing to enter must speak with their relevant Member Association.
